Formerly President Director of PT Caltex Pacific (now Chevron Indonesia) Wahyudin draws upon 30 years of experience in technical and engineering, production and general management in oil and gas, both in Indonesia and in the United States. A frequent speaker at energy seminars he serves as Special Advisor to the Board of the Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA).

Sammy Hamzah
President & CEO

With over 20 years of general management experience, Sammy was formerly Unocal’s Senior Vice President. Previous senior management positions included Lafarge Cement and Siemens AG. Currently he is Vice Chairman in both the IPA and the Oil & Gas Permanent Committee at KADIN. He is a founder of the CBM Advisory Board.

Patrick Alexander

Patrick has raised private equity funds for Batavia Investment Management Ltd and was an independent commissioner of PT Astra International from 2000 until 2010 and for a time, a member of excom. He remains an independent commissioner of PT Astra Otoparts and PT Astra Agro Lestari as well as being a Director of One Asia Resources and Managing Director of Bengkulu Coal Ltd. Patrick is also an advisor to Religare Capital Markets of India and London.

Tom Soulsby

CEO of Risco Energy, a major investor in Ephindo. Tom’s background covers 20 years in finance, mining and energy, formerly with KPMG, Western Mining, UBS and the investment banking operations of ANZ in Melbourne, in Jakarta and as Director at ANZ Singapore. Most recently he served as Director of Jakarta listed oil and gas producer, EMP.

Chris Newton

Director of Risco Energy, Chris has 32 years of experience in the region, in geology, operations and general management. Previous positions included MD of Fletcher Challenge’s Brunei business, as MD of Shell Deepwater Brunei, President of Santos’ Indonesian business and CEO of EMP. Former President of the IPA
from 2004-2007.
