East Kalimantan

Ephindo’s current operations in East Kalimantan are focused on CBM gas with PSCs covering three discrete CBM blocks known as Kutai, Sangatta and Kutai Timur.

In addition two joint evaluation studies in the area have been completed with our strategic partners and further studies are in progress. Ephindo is also evaluating a range of possible scenarios for future expansion including equity partnerships and acquisitions in order to capitalize on the significant opportunities available in this region.

Close proximity of our portfolio to existing pipeline infrastructure and substantial capacity availability at the Bontang LNG facility, plus the Government’s development programme for power generation for this growth region, constitute excellent prospects.
