Sangatta 1 CBM Block
The total area of this jointly operated block is 1,301 square kilometres. Ephindo and CBM specialist Dart Energy are equally invested in a joint venture, Sangatta West CBM Inc, partnered with state owned oil and gas producer, Pertamina.
The PSC was awarded November 2008. Under the initial drilling commitment of 8 core holes and 5 exploration wells, 3 have been successfully drilled and 4 pilot production wells completed at depths ranging from 300 to 850 metres, showing considerable potential in cumulative thickness across multiple coal seams with gas flow flaring since March 2011.
We are in preliminary discussions with a private power project to supply state electricity company PLN in the medium term.
