Governance
Our approach to governance is built on the principles of transparency, accountability, responsibility, fairness and independence, in our approach to operating our business and communicating with shareholders and stakeholders alike.
Governance is reflected in our internal management structure with the Board of Directors accountable to shareholders for their performance, based upon a well- defined set of objectives driven by a clearly articulated strategy. It includes prudent risk management systems, an independent audit committee, regular and timely lines of reporting, close attention to health and safety of all employees, contractors and visitors to our operations. It embraces clear standards on environmental management and a code of conduct including business ethics and standards. It takes full account of industry regulatory reporting and compliance procedures.
As we expand, it is our intention to refine and publish key policy summaries on specific issues, not least our approach to corporate social responsibility, our employment and human resource development goals, the development of key international standards such as ISO for quality management, environmental management and the introduction of more comprehensive sustainability reporting in addition to financial disclosure, presenting a complete triple bottom line.
